What is it?
 
NKC Band's primary fundraiser opportunity is working in a food booth at the Kansas City Renaissance Festival in Bonner Springs, KS. Students (and their family and friends) work to earn money for their personal band account.
 

When is it?

Orientation/Booth Prep Day is Saturday August 24, 2019 at 10:00 AM.   It is expected that all workers attend this day. This is when we prepare our booths, get important information from Festival employees, and have our own NKC BAND orientation. It is especially important to attend this day.
 
During the 2019 season, worker shifts are every Saturday and Sunday from August 31-October 14 plus two Monday's: Labor Day (September 2) and Columbus Day (October 7).
 

 

How do I sign up?

 

 

Submit your Worker Information as soon as possible.

  • Worker Information Form - Print this form and sign it 
    • It will be need to be delivered to Allie Lopez in 1 of 3 ways
      • Deliver it to white cabinet in band room office - ATTN: Allie Lopez
        REN FEST
      • Bring it to a booster meeting
      • It can also be scanned and sent to Allie Lopez at
      •   renfest_nkchbandboosters@yahoo.com
      • as a last resort. However, we MUST have a hard copy of your signed
        form before you can work.
Ensure the NKC Ren Fest Coordinator has your Workers Compensation Waiver on file.
 
  • Anyone under age 18 must also have their parent or guardian sign. 
  • YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO WORK IF WE DON'T HAVE YOUR SIGNED WAIVER.
  • This is now included in the Worker Information form, so just be sure to complete
    that portion.

  • You'll need to be logged into the site and approved before volunteering...you will need to
    re-register as this site is not attached to the old one.
  • Click the link next to the date you're interested in. 
  • This will take you to the schedule for that weekend. 
  • Find the slot you want and "click to volunteer!" 
  • You'll be prompted to register for the site if you have not already.

Need to Cancel within 3 Days of Your Shift?

 

  • Try to find someone to take your place
  • Call Allie Lopez at 816/682-0617
  • Do not wait to Cancel your slot on the Web site, Same day or a day before

No call / No Show is a major issue?

       if you sign up in a slot, and then you do not show, during  "two scheduled" 
       shifts unfortunately it will necessitate  having to  remove  your name from the
       roster  for the rest of the 2019 season.
